| Response to Jesus ‘ Words Jesus told his apostles, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel (Death, Burial, Resurrection) – (1 Cor. 15:1-4) to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:15,16) What was the Result when the apostles did as Jesus commanded them? Jews on “Heard (the gospel) were pricked in their heart (believed), and Pentecost said…what shall we do? Then Peter said “Repent and be Baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the Remission of sins…they that gladly received his word were Baptized…the same day…and the Lord added to the church Daily such as should be saved.” (Acts 2:37-47) Samaritans “ Philip preached Christ (Gospel) unto them…when they Believed Philip’s preaching the things concerning the kingdom Of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were Baptized, Both men and women.” (Acts 8:5-12) Eunuch “Philip ..preached Christ (Gospel)..the eunuch said, See here is Water, what doth hinder me to be baptized, and Philip said, If Thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest..he..said (Confessed), “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” they went down both into the water..and he baptized him..he went on his way rejoicing.” (Acts 8:35-39) Note the response of these people to the preaching of the gospel: Heard- Believed- Repented-Confessed- Were Baptized- Saved |
