You are now reading your final newsletter of 2006.  In just a few days we’ll be entering a
new year filled with many wonderful opportunities to show and share the saving gospel of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Let me suggest ten ways to build up the church here at
St. Andrews Road.  Let’s not wait for the New Year.  Let’s begin  today!

1.  Ignite the spiritual fires of your own soul by committing yourself to doing what you can
do, what you should do.

2.  Study your Bible.  It is the word of God.

3.  Remember that “the church” is people, you and me, and that 425 St. Andrews Road is
simply the place where we meet for worship.

4.  Support the church with faithful attendance.

5.  Pray for the church, for our leaders, and every member.

6.  Every day look for ways to encourage others in Christ.

7.  Discover your own unique way of telling others of Jesus and do it often.

8.  Give generously of your time, talents, and treasures to the work of Christ.

9.  Believe in Christ, in the gospel, in the church, and speak highly of all the possibilities in
the coming year.

10. Invite people to come with you.

This coming Sunday will be a very special day here at St. Andrews Road. Brother Joey Treat
and his wife, Tammy, will be visiting with us to share the latest news from their mission
work in Saipan, Palau, Yap, and Chuuk in Micronesia.  Brother Joey graduated from Freed-
Hardeman University in 1997 and has served as a youth and   pulpit minister in the United
States. Joey and Tammy have two children, Nina and Noah.  The work in Micronesia
continues to grow and is full of open doors. There is a church of 50 in Saipan, 30 in Chuuk,
10 in Palau, and 6 in Yap. The Christians in these churches are young but are eager to serve
the Lord.  What a great joy it is for us to support this wonderful mission effort for the cause
of Christ.  This Sunday morning Brother Treat will be teaching a combined teenage and
adult Bible class in the auditorium and then preaching at the morning worship hour.  Please
stay in touch with the Treats by mail or email at the address below:

This past Sunday we discussed the question: “What Do I Get” when I commit my life to the
Lord Jesus Christ, to follow Him?  This Sunday evening we will discuss the question: “What
Do I Give?”  We will look at value in specific ways: age, duration, name brand, time and
effort involved, supply and demand, and personal interest.  It is my prayer that you will be
encouraged and challenged by what you see and hear to come ever closer to Christ.
