Wow!  Last Saturday’s 9th Annual Carolina Men’s Fellowship at Rock Hill was a terrific success.  What a
joy it was to sit with the other 576 men in attendance to sing, pray, and hear God’s word preached.  We
had twenty-four from St. Andrews Road to attend.  Maybe next year we can double that number!

Mark your calendar for these big events at St. Andrews Road!

You will notice some big changes down the hall in our kitchen and pantry area:  new flooring, new
cabinets, new commercial appliances … Excuse the dust!  Plans are to have everything in place before
the end of the month.  Thank you for your patience, your prayers, your help, and your generous
support for this much-needed update.  May God bless us all as we work together for today and for
our future!

On Tuesday, March 20th , at 10:00 a.m. we will host the monthly Preachers’ and Men’s Meeting.  Any
preacher, elder, deacon, or any man is welcome to be a part of this meeting.  This month we will discuss
how the Bible is our pattern for life and living.  The world entices us personally and collectively
to drift away from the pattern of the Bible.  In Acts 2:42 we find that the church of Christ “continued
steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine.”  The apostle, Paul, warns every Christian of those who want to
change or pervert the gospel of Christ.  He says that those who preach any other gospel should be
“accursed” (Galatians 1:6-10).  Paul directs Timothy to “Hold fast the pattern of sound words which
you have heard from me” (2 Timothy 1:13).  He urged him to charge the church that they “teach no
other doctrine” (1 Timothy 1:3).  The apostle, John, warns of many deceivers and says that anyone
who transgresses and abides not in the doctrine of Christ does not have God.  In verse 10 he tells us
that “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor
greet him.”  In Philippians 3:17 Paul warns, “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those
who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.”

This Sunday morning we will begin a series of lessons taken from 2 Kings 6 and the story of Elisha and
the axe head that floated.  What do you do when you have lost your “cutting edge?”  What do you do
when your spiritual desire has grown cold?  What can you do when you try to seek the kingdom of God
and His righteousness first, and the cause just seems too difficult?  Maybe we need to LIGHT THE FIRE!
In this series of lessons we will learn FOUR SPIRITUAL TRUTHS to help us know what to do    when God
seems to be far away.  Lesson #1 – Admit … Lesson #2 – Acknowledge … Lesson #3 –  Expect … Lesson
#4 – Reach out to God.

On Sunday evening we will take a look at “The Shepherd” in Luke 15:1-7.  He cares.  He is consistent.
He is close.  He is capable.

May God bless us as we live every day preparing for His appearing!
