We had a great Sunday this week with 223 Christians meeting together with family, friends, and guests
for worship and fellowship.  Our meeting on Sunday evening was somewhat smaller in number but
mighty in faith.  I wonder what our attendance would be if every member of the St. Andrews Road
congregation decided to be present?  Would we have enough room for everyone? Think about it!  Is it
possible to have 223 on Sunday morning and then on Sunday night have the same number of
Christians again plus all of those who were traveling or working or maybe those who were sick on
Sunday morning but well enough to meet Sunday night?  Well, I guess every preacher can dream!

CONGRATULATIONS to our new brother in Christ; Louis Cucullu!  Brother Louis is the fiancé of Tessa
Yenny.  He was baptized into Christ following the morning worship hour this past Sunday.  Make sure
you meet Brother Louis and get to know him.  He’s a fine Christian man, a true fellow-laborer in the
work of Christ here at St. Andrews Road.  Even before his decision to obey the gospel, Louis was
always ready and willing to work in any way he could.  What a blessing it is to have him as a brother in
Christ.  He and Tessa plan to be married on Saturday, November 11th.  May God bless them as they
begin their new relationship traveling through this world together toward heaven.

We’re farmers, you and I.  We sow the seed by living the Christian life, sharing, answering questions,
teaching, and preaching the gospel.  We water what is planted when we pray, when we speak words of
encouragement to those we love who are searching, when we show by example the great blessings
that come to every child of God.  Of course it is God who gives the increase.  He gives the growth (1
Corinthians 3:7).  Always remember that the gospel of Christ is God’s power to salvation to everyone
who believes (Romans 1:16-17).

Our LADIES DAY 2006 is now only days away, Saturday, November 11th.  To our ladies at St. Andrews
Road:  This day has been planned especially for you and your family, friends, and neighbors.  Of
course, this is a ladies only event.  Our Ladies’ Day committees have been working “overtime” getting
everything just right.  Cindi has been studying, praying, and planning for weeks now in preparation for
her lessons to answer the question: “Are You Spiritually Healthy?”.  I know that you have been in
prayer for this special day, praying that every participant will be encouraged and   challenged to be
spiritually healthy for Christ.  Take every opportunity to invite and remind those you know and love to
come and share in this wonderful event.

This month on Sunday mornings we will focus our attention on what it means to have a Passionate
Commitment to the Cause of Christ.  We will answer three questions in this series of sermons: 1) Why
should I commit myself to Christ?, 2) What are the obstacles to commitment to Christ?, and 3) How can
I commit my life to Christ?.  We will focus on the first two questions this Sunday and the next.  On the
Sunday before Thanksgiving we will depart from this series to focus our minds on gratitude.  Then on
the final Lord’s Day in the month we will answer the final question in the series.

On Sunday evening our lesson is entitled: “The Secret to Church Growth.”  We will take a look at the
ministry of Jesus Christ and the church in the New Testament and see just how simple God’s plans for
our growth and prosperity really are.
